Maurice Moore of Nor-Cal grabs a handful of books during the Brentwood Library’s move to newer digs across the street last week.

The new location will officially open with a ribbon cutting and tours of the facility (which will triple in size after the new civic center is built) to be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 22.

The library is located at 104 Oak St. in downtown Brentwood. Refreshments will be served.

Riddle: How many million dollars does it take to move the library from one side of the street to the other side?

Answer: I don't think we'll ever get a straight answer from the City. And is this really a "local stimulus" project because the mover Nor-Cal has offices in Oakland, San Leandro and San Jose but none in Brentwood or Contra Costa County?
