Beginning June 24, a large number of law enforcement agencies throughout Contra Costa, Solano and Alameda counties participated in the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, the east leg of which was run by members of the Antioch Police Department.

The Torch Run culminated at the Summer Games on the UC Davis campus last weekend, drawing 1,200 Special Olympic athletes displaying persistence, courage and spirit.
