The 14U Delta Diamonds powered through the recent Oakland Metro Tournament, entitling them to compete at the July ASA National Tournament in Marietta, Ga. The Diamonds won the two-day tournament with a 5-0 record against some of the toughest teams in the area.

The Diamonds dominated on the field, keeping their opponents in check with aggressive hitting and solid defense. Fierce pitching from Lisa Rodrigues, Dulce Galaviz, Kaitlyn Covione and Kenna Stevens neutralized the opposing offenses while the iron infield work of Malia Rivers, Marissa Ortiz, Maleia Namauleg, Paige Chalifoux and Alex Elder shut down the short game. Pop-ups were handled by the outfield of Miranda Alcantar, Alex Shipe and Morgan Perry.

Supported by Head Coach Ron Rivers and coaches Dan Rodrigues, Pete Naumaleg, Mike Ortiz, Paul Stevens, Sergio Galaviz and Robert Alcantar, the players will take on America’s top teams for the designation Best of the Best in the American Softball Association. Go, Diamonds!
