State senator and candidate for the 10th Congressional District Mark DeSaulnier continued building momentum for his campaign at the recent opening of his campaign headquarters in Walnut Creek. More than 200 residents from the 10th Congressional District attended the grand opening and pledged their continued involvement with the DeSaulnier for Congress campaign.
After the program, dozens of volunteers walked door-to-door and made phone calls for the campaign. Also in attendance were Assemblymember Tom Torlakson, Concord Mayor Laura Hoffmeister, Walnut Creek City Councilmember Kish Rajan, and Contra Costa County Democratic Chair Chuck Carpenter.
“We are going to win this race because we understand this community,” said DeSaulnier. “We are committed to bringing local leadership to Washington. After raising a family, running a successful business and representing you as a mayor, supervisor and state legislator, we know what it takes to fight for the issues that matter most.”
DeSaulnier, a Democrat, has been endorsed by former Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher, Congressman George Miller, Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, and more than two dozen local elected officials. DeSaulnier is running for former Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher’s seat in the 10th Congressional District. Tauscher retired from Congress in June.
