OK, so the Fourth of July has come and gone. The Press has rarely missed a chance to run a picture of Old Glory, though, and this one comes courtesy of Discovery Bay’s Ed McClelland.

He’s at the helm of his son Joseph’s pirate ship at left, plying the waters of Pine Mountain Lake on July 4.

The boat’s name for the day was the USS Joseph Bauer, after their favorite Marine serving in Afghanistan.
