Iraq War veteran and Democratic congressional candidate Anthony Woods will host a series of town hall meetings across California’s 10th Congressional District in advance of the Sept. 1 special election to replace former Rep. Ellen Tauscher.
“From two wars overseas, to the economy, healthcare and education, there are huge issues at stake in this election,” said Woods. “Like families across the 10th District, I’ve lived these challenges first hand, and am looking forward talking with voters and sharing my vision for moving our district and our country forward.”
The first such event will take place this Thursday in Woods’ hometown of Fairfield. Light refreshments will be served.
The Fairfield town hall will be followed by upcoming forums in Livermore, Walnut Creek, Concord, and in Dixon. More forums may be added, time and schedule permitting.
