The Delta Xplosion Class 1 U13 Girls Soccer team is on a roll after finishing the 2009 Norcal spring league as champions of the Gold Flight U13 Division.

The Xplosion girls have been on a serious run toward a remarkable season, recently winning their first premier tournament this year at the UC Davis College Showcase. They beat the Mustang Freedom 1-0, the WBSA 4-0, the Nike Rush 4-1, the Novato 96 4-1 and finally the host UC Davis Heat 1-0 in the championship game. The team – comprised of girls from Brentwood, Antioch, Knightsen, Discovery Bay and Oakley – is a close-knit unit that shows lots of promise.

Next up for the Delta Xplosion is the Diablo FC Tournament in Concord on July 25 and 26. East County baseball fans are invited to come and support our local team. We’re proud of Head Coach Mike Rainsfrod, Trainer/Assistant Coach Nick Howliston and Manager Ed Prieto for their hard work in making the Delta Xplosion Team one of the best in our area.
