Fresh off winning the endorsement of VoteVets.org, the nation’s largest progressive veteran’s organization, Iraq War weteran and Democratic congressional candidate Anthony Woods will conduct the second in a series of town hall meetings across California’s 10th Congressional District this Thursday in Livermore.
“From improving access to veterans’ aftercare services to restoring our economy with technologies that promote energy independence, I believe that Livermore is vital to our region’s future,” Woods said. “I am looking forward talking with voters about the challenges and opportunities we’re facing together, and sharing my vision for moving our district and our country forward.”
Thursday’s town hall will take place at the Livermore Public Library on Thursday, July 30 at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
The Woods campaign is planning future forums in Walnut Creek, Antioch and Dixon. More forums may be added, time and schedule permitting.

Anthony Woods is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a veteran of two combat tours in Iraq, was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal for his service. Woods is a native of Fairfield and is campaigning for the special election to replace former Representative Ellen Tauscher in California’s 10th District.
