Solano County Supervisor Jim Spering has endorsed State Sen. Mark DeSaulnier for Congress. Spering joins other community leaders and elected officials in support of DeSaulnier for Congressional District 10, including former Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher, Congressman George Miller, Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, Solano County Supervisor Linda Seifert, and former Dixon City Councilmember Michael Smith.

“I am proud to endorse Mark DeSaulnier for Congress,” said Spering. “Mark has been a champion for issues important to Solano County, including transportation, health care and smart growth. Solano County needs Mark in Congress so he can continue to lead with bold ideas and be a strong advocate for working families in Solano County.”

“I am greatly honored to receive the endorsement from Supervisor Spering for my campaign for Congress,” said DeSaulnier. “I have fought for the communities in Solano County and will continue to advocate for increased health care access, quality and affordability for all families in Solano County and in District 10 when I am in Congress.”

DeSaulnier, a Democrat, has been endorsed by over a dozen local labor unions and over two dozen local elected officials. He is a candidate for former Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher’s seat in the 10th Congressional District. Tauscher retired from Congress in June.
