He was born in San Francisco on Sept. 22, 1911 to Charlie and Velia Ghiselli. Most of his life he lived in Oakley and Antioch, where he owned the Oakley Drugstore, was a deputy sheriff and worked for the Contra Costa Water District. He married Angelina Lazzarini on Jan. 31, 1937. They had been married 69 years when she passed away in 2006.
Chuck was a kind, loving man who was devoted to his family, didn’t consider anyone a stranger and was always ready to lend a hand. He will sadly be missed by all.
Chuck is survived by his son, Bruce (Barbara); granddaughters, Korrin Lucca (Mike), Diane Ghiselli and her fiancé Kevin Smith; great-grandchildren, Briana, Nico and Dante Lucca; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Velia; brothers, John and George; sister, Dora; and sister-in-law, Marian.
A memorial service was held Monday, July 13 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Byron. Donations may be made to the Diabetic Youth Foundation, 5167 Clayton Road, Suite F, Concord, CA 95421.
