Teen author M.T. Anderson will be at Barnes & Noble, 5709 Lone Tree Way in Antioch, on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. to sign copies of his latest book. “Jasper Dash and the Flame Pits of Delaware: Pals in Peril” is book three of a fantastic adventure in the manner of “Indiana Jones.” Anderson has written a string of award-winning books, including “The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing,” “Feed,” “Burger Wuss” and “Whales on Stilts.”

“Pals in Peril” begins with boy technonaut Jasper Dash and his friends Lily Gefelty and Katie Mulligan taking a journey to get to the bottom of a dreadful mystery. Their adventure encompasses lost cities, dinosaurs, gangsters and the fabled Curse of the Jaguar.

Anderson, who lives in Cambridge, Mass., is a board member of the National Children’s Book and Literacy Alliance, a national nonprofit organization that advocates for literacy, literature and libraries.
