Deer Valley Coach Andria Edwards has another highly competitive team this year. She has had two daughters win scholarships: Alexis went to BYU, Ashley plays for the Ducks at the University of Oregon, and her niece Brittany Edwards is a freshman playing for the Thunderbirds at Southern Utah University.
The team this year has 12 girls, which is the largest in several years. Freshman Taylor Coover has been playing number 3 and 4 on the team, with Haley Edwards a strong number 2 and Victoria Leon Medalist for the past five league matches. Allison Isaacson, Tara Nellson and Mellissa Wilkerson fill in the last three spots for the top six.
