Grammy nominee to rock Wild Idol

Puro Bandido and Grammy-nominated Kurt Crasper & The Wolftickets perform live this weekend at the Wild Idol Saloon in Byron. As part of the bands’ MexxiBilli Tour kickoff, the two groups will perform at 9 p.m. Admission is $10.

Puro Bandido is an instrumental band whose music is high energy, Latin Rock. They opened for Linda Rondstadt, Tower of Power and Santana in the 1970’s.

Kurt Crasper was placed on an official ballot in two Grammy categories in 2008. The self-professed rock-a-billy with a jazz and Latin influence, guitar player and vocalist enjoyed some commercial success in the l970s and early ‘80s, opening for such legendary acts as Greg Kihn, Johnny Lee Hooker and Bo Diddly.
