The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter will honor local community members at its annual Heroes award breakfast on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Crow Canyon Country Club, 711 Silver Lake Drive in Danville.

Among those honored will be Contra Costa County native Capt. Chesley Sullenberger, who bravely landed U.S. Airways flight 1549 in the Hudson River in New York. The program is designed to celebrate the community’s everyday heroes, recognizing those individuals and organizations that make a difference in their community through acts of extraordinary kindness and courage.

Tickets are $40. Visit www.heroesredcrossbayarea.org or call 415-427-8086.
