The Sanctuary of Evil haunted house in Oakley is ready to thrill and chill this Halloween.

The spider room seen here is one of several features at the venue, which includes a corn maze (from which at least one father and daughter needed a rescue escort last weekend, organizers said) and three coffins, one of which is motorized and will be giving visitors The Last Ride.

Even bigger than last year’s enormously popular house, the fun goes on through Nov. 1 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m. (Sundays until 9 p.m.) at 936 Carpenter Road in Oakley.

Tickets are $5 for the haunted house, $3 for the coffin ride or $7 for both. Proceeds benefit Girl Scout Troop 31437 and Venture Crew 152.

For more information, call 925-206-3339 or visit www.sanctuaryofevil.com.

Wow! this haunt was amazing. My family went there last weekend and it sure brought a fright. I almost peed my pants. And the coffin ride, i could tell you... but you have to come and experience it for your self!!!! I would recommend it to any one that wants a REAL fright.
