Stepping up to the ninth tee after a long day of intense play, above are the number-one players in the BVAL: Deer Valley’s Haley Edwards, Lauren Condor of Heritage and Deer Valley’s Vicotria Leon, who leads this season for medalist.
The Wolverine linksters won them all, lifting Deer Valley’s BVAL record to 7-0. On Thursday, the Lady Wolverines played for the first time this season at Brentwood Golf Course.
Following the lead of 90-plus temperatures, the girls cranked up the heat on Heritage, posting a score of 209 against the Patriots’ 248, dropping the Patriots’ league record to 5-2.
Haley Edwards and Victoria Leon tied for medalist with two over par while Lauren Condar and teammate Neilson tied for second place with four over par. Deer Valley’s Taylor Coover came in third with a 41, Mellissa Wilkerson and Ally Isaacson tied for fourth with 46, and Tara Nelson placed sixth – all shooting in the low 40s.
