Cortona Park, an independent- and assisted-living community in Brentwood, is celebrating its one-year anniversary and raising money for the city’s Police Activities League at the same time.

The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m., and will feature wine, dancing, live music, valet parking, giveaways, horse and carriage rides, and more. A silent auction will raise money for PAL.

“In light of recent occurrences in local communities, Cortona Park would like to be proactive in giving back in order to facilitate positive relationships with area school-age children,” said Donna Fisher, executive director of Cortona Park. “We are pleased to open our home to the greater community to celebrate one year of service, and we are thankful to be able to raise money for PAL during the silent auction.”

Visitors will also be able to take a guided tour of Cortona Park and learn about options for customized assisted living, including personal service options such as help with bathing, dressing and grooming. Visitors can also learn more about the programs, outings and opportunities available to residents.

Cortona Park is located at 150 Cortona Way in Brentwood. For more information, call 925-240-0733.
