The Black Diamond All-Stars, Brentwood’s own cheerleading and dance team, kicked off their 2009-10 season in impressive fashion at the recent Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The All-Stars competed in five divisions, earning three first-place finishes and two seconds.

The Tiny Team jump-started the competition with a crowd-pleasing routine performed to the song “Lolly-pop.” The judges concurred with the crowd’s opinion and gave the Tinys second place.

The Mini Team raised the bar with its high-energy – and first-place – performance.

The Youth Team’s high-flying, tumbling routine took second.

In the Hip-Hop divisions, the Junior and Senior squads both won first place. Their cutting-edge routines, set to the latest hip-hop stylings, appealed to the crowds and the judges alike.

The girls eagerly anticipate their next competition at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
