Liberty High School forensic science teacher Julie Hubbard, above, visits one of the science lab work stations that will be enhanced by a $5,000 grant from Lawrence Livermore National Security.

The Liberty Science Department will use this funding to place mini-computers at each lab station for its chemistry and forensic science classes. Students will learn to use graphic interface devices and be able to witness real-time graphs of changes while performing lab experiments.

Hubbard believes that students using this advanced technology will be better prepared for careers in science and industry, as many emerging jobs depend on computer interfaces to solve problems.
