There are still plenty of local events and haunted houses to help you get your spook on this All Hallows Eve weekend. Here’s a listing of some of the area’s blood-curdling best:

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 1 SANCTUARY OF EVIL HAUNTED HOUSE AND MAZE

Take a tour through a horrifying haunted house, or run screaming through a 7,000-square-foot corn maze. Perhaps a trip on the Last Ride, a simulated coffin, is more to your liking. It’s all here - Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.; Sunday 7 to 9 p.m. - at 936 Carpenter Road in Oakley. Admission is $5 for the haunted house; $3 for the simulated coffin ride; or $8 for both.

Friday, Oct. 30 HALLOWEEN DANCE EXTRAVAGANZA

Come on out for this Halloween bash for individuals with special needs ages 13 and up. Participants are encouraged to come in costume to the event that runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Brentwood Senior Activity Center. The cost is $6.50 and pre-registration is required. PLAYMAKERS BLOODY HEART HOSPITAL

Feeling ill? Check in to the Liberty High School Playmakers Heart Hospital haunted house at the Allan E. Jones Performing Arts Center on the Liberty campus in Brentwood from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets for all ages are $6 ($5 with a canned good for charity). The haunted house is open on the 31st as well, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 31 NEIGHBORHOOD HAUNTED HOUSE

Trick-or-treaters looking for Halloween horror will find what they’re looking for at this neighborhood haunted house in Oakley. The fun starts at dusk and is free to the public. Catch the action at 3975 Harvest Circle.

HALLOWEEN MURDER MYSTERY DINNER CRUISE

Delta Discovery Cruises presents this nautical adventure. Come dressed as your favorite pirate, sailor, captain or ghost for the Ghoulish Dinner and Nautical Mystery. The cost is $49. The party runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and sails from the Driftwood Yacht Club in Oakley. For tickets and additional information, call 925-252-9300.

HALLOWEEN AT SAND CREEK CROSSING

Trick-or-treaters are welcome at the Sand Creek Crossing Shopping Center in Brentwood on Halloween from 2 to 6 p.m. The center’s stores, restaurants and retailers will be handing out free Halloween goodies while supplies last.

HALLOWEEN AT THE MUSEUM

Come in costume and be transported back in time at the East Contra Costa Historical Society’s Halloween party. Tour the 1878 farm house and check out the assorted antique farm equipment, Model T’s and fire trucks from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3890 Sellers Ave. in Brentwood/Knightsen. HALLOWEEN ON HOLLOW HILLS

This festive event is a scream. Games, crafts, scavenger hunts and more will give you a chance to explore the history of the Black Diamond Hills and meet some of the park’s creepiest critters. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and participants meet in the parking lot of the Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve at the south end of Somersville Road in Antioch.

CIRCUS NIGHT

Come on out and enjoy a safe and sane alternative to Halloween at the Harvest Time Assembly of God Church from 6 to 9 p.m. at 2200 Ventura Drive in Brentwood. This free event features candy, games, pony rides. For more information, call 925-516-1908.

COSTUME PARADE

Bring your family to the Pittsburg Farmers’ Market Halloween Costume Parade, on Railroad Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets, from noon to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce.
