Oakley resident Guido Novero, seen above surrounded by friends and family, received a proclamation from Oakley Mayor Carol Rios at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, honoring his 40 years of volunteer service in the Knightsen 4-H program.

Novero has served as a resource leader, mentor and role model to hundreds of 4-H participants in far East County over the years and continues to make an impact today.

Rios also presented Novero with an Oakley decennial pin.
