Stompy Jones, the San Francisco sextet that specializes in the explosive, swinging jazz of 1940s jump blues – a style that inspired early rock ‘n’ roll – will perform at the El Campanil Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

Performing a full calendar of club dates, concerts and festivals throughout California, these journeymen of jump recreate the historic sounds of shuffle drumming and bounce piano and infuse them with a sense of the contemporary. Stompy Jones is renowned for its jumpin’ rhythm, wailing improvisations, hip charm and explosive stage show.
