The CCTA is comprised of 23 members, 20 of whom are appointed by each of the 20 local jurisdictions within Contra Costa County (cities, towns and the county) and three of whom serve as at-large members nominated by community-based stakeholder organizations with Contra Costa County and appointed by CCTA.
Applicants must be registered voters of and reside within the jurisdiction of the nominating body they would represent. Once the governing body of their jurisdiction has taken formal action to nominate them as their representative, the nomination goes before the CCTA for confirmation. The deadline for filing applications is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3. Visit www.ci.antioch.ca.us or call the City Clerk’s Office at 925-779-7009.
Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the CCTA’s Pleasant Hill offices, 3478 Buskirk Ave., Suite 100. CAC members are appointed to serve a four-year term without compensation. Members will, however, receive reimbursement for travel expenses to and from the CAC meetings.
