Students at Freedom High School have organized three opportunities to give to those less fortunate this holiday season.

Dana Johnston’s Leadership Class has posted banners and gotten the word out that the class is accepting unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots, clean and gently used blankets for the Blanket Brigade, and canned food for the Canned Food Drive.

Here, Freedom High senior Stephanie Skym, community service commissioner for the school’s Leadership class, stands by a receptacle for canned food donations.

The campaigns will continue until Dec. 11, and those desiring to make a donation are asked to drop off toys, blankets and canned goods at the front office of Freedom High School at 1050 Neroly Road in Oakley.
