Antioch Military Families & Friends (AMFF) would like to thank the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the VFW Post 6435 on Fulton Shipyard in Antioch for their very generous donations.

AMFF supports our troops, military families and veterans. We send care packages every month and have been doing so for the past five years. The donations from the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and Post will help us continue providing support to our troops.

I encourage our communities to do their part in helping by supporting our events, collecting donations for our troops and collecting letters or cards of encouragement, and we will gladly send them to our deployed.

Thank you to the Eastside Church of Antioch, which just delivered over 300 signed Christmas cards. We need these donations to continue all year, not just the holidays. Our Troops don’t take a break and I won’t, either.

You are invited to join us this Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for our Holiday for the TROOPS Craft Fair Fundraiser at Community Presbyterian Church 200 E. Leland Road in Pittsburg, featuring 40 vendors and crafters, raffle prizes and baked goodies benefiting A Piece of Home care-package drive.
