Playing in its first tournament ever, the Brentwood Blast 9 Red baseball team took the championship trophy on Thanksgiving weekend at the Toys for Tots Charity Tournament at the Manteca Big League Dream complex.

All 11 players contributed mightily to the Blast’s 5-0 tournament run, as they outplayed teams from Los Gatos, Tara Hills, San Mateo and Vacaville.

The Blast won an exciting championship game 11-10 in extra innings.
