The Delta Community Service would like to thank all those who participated in our recent money corsage giveaway fundraiser. The monies generated will go toward helping the local community with its many needs, especially in this economy.

On Nov. 21, at the City of Brentwood’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Mayor Bob Taylor pulled the winning ticket.

Surprise, surprise … Bill Putnam, former City of Brentwood Citizen of the Year, was the lucky recipient. In his generosity, Mr. Putman donated the $300 prize back to the Delta Community Service to help this nonprofit organization. The DCS continues its many local projects of service that include information and referral, pro bono legal, food, clothing and many other needs.
