History buffs are invited to enjoy a walking and driving tour of the California Delta led by local historian and author Carol Jensen. The course, Exploring the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, is held on four consecutive Saturdays beginning Jan. 8.

Topics will include the history and dredging of Rio Vista; Isleton: Chinese and Filipino contributions; levees, water management and aqueducts; green technologies such as wind turbines; and endangered species.

Students should arrive by 8:15 a.m. and bring walking shoes and a bag lunch. The fee is $50. The course is offered through the Liberty Adult Education program. To register online, visit www.libertyadulted.org. For more information, call 925-634-2565.
