The Brentwood Concert Band is teaming up once again with the Liberty High School Symphonic Band in the second annual Benefit Concert for the Bruce Stuart Music Fund. Sue Stuart and Carey Hurst will take the podium, conducting a program highlighting the stentorian strains of the bands’ trombones.

The concert takes place Saturday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Allan E. Jones Performing Arts Center on the Liberty campus, 850 Second St. in Brentwood. A reception will follow the concert. Proceeds go toward developing young musicians. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. For more information, call 925-634-3411.
