The Brentwood Chamber of Commerce will host its annual awards dinner on Saturday, Jan. 30, honoring Brentwood Press Editor Rick Lemyre as 2010 Citizen of the Year, and Harvest Park Bowl, the 2009 Business of the Year.

The event runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m at Nines, 100 Summerset Drive in Brentwood. Tickets are $55. Meal options include chicken Wellington or smoked sirloin. Reservations are required.

Lemyre was selected Citizen of the Year for his involvement in countless community organizations, including Brentwood Diversity Committee, the Kiwanis Club and the Brentwood Regional Community Chest.

Likewise, Jim and Ann Wangeman, owners of Harvest Park Bowl, were selected for their charitable work, lending their business and time to a variety of fundraising groups and organizations including the Brentwood CornFest, the Strike Out Hunger Drive program and the Barbecue King Cook-off, which benefits the Brentwood Police Activities League and the East Contra Costa Historical Society.

For more information about the awards dinner, call the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce at 925-634-3344 or visit www.brentwoodchamber.com.
