Richard grew up in Oakley and went to school there and also in Brentwood. He was the third of five children and has a daughter, Heather Castro, and two grandchildren, Tina and Anthony of Isleton. His wife of 12 years, Gail, is from Antioch. Richard enjoyed playing pool, cooking and barbecuing. Richard was known to say, “I am the richest man in the world because I have family and friends.”
He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Richard was preceded in death by his father Alejandro and his first wife, Tina Castro. The family would like to thank the Hospice of the East Bay (925-757-7568) for its care and support.
