• Ballroom Dancing – Learn the fox trot, waltz and East Coast swing for pleasure, special occasions or holidays. Couples are recommended but not required. The session runs Thursdays, Feb. 25 through April 1 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The fee is $30 for residents; $40 for non-residents.
• Ballet and Tap Class – Designed for children 3 and older, beginners and returning students, the class covers specific ballet movements and techniques. Sessions run Mondays, March 1 through April 5. For specific times, call the Recreation Division at 925-625-7041. The fee is $36 for residents; $46 for non-residents.
• Aikido – For age 6 and older. Aikido is a traditional non-violent, Japanese martial art discipline that encourages cooperation, respect and self-discipline. Sessions run Thursdays, Feb. 18 through Mar. 25. The fee is $35 for residents; $45 for non-residents.
• Karate – Classes are provided for two divisions – children 3 to 13, and 13 and older. Participants learn discipline and respect for themselves and others in a fun, safe environment. The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays, February 22 through March 31– children from 5 to 6 p.m.; adults from 6 to 7 p.m. The fee is $60 for residents; $70 for non-residents.
