Longtime Oakley residents and artists Alan and Lynn Peterson will reopen Peterson Studios to the public this spring. The event will be celebrated with an art exhibit entitled “Let in the Light,” featuring an inspirational collection of reflective artwork ranging from ceramics, pastels and watercolors to acrylic paintings and jewelry. The art show takes place Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Peterson Studios’ mission is to assist artists who seek beauty. The studio will provide a space for local artists to work, learn, display and create fine art. Alan and Lynn are committed to developing an art studio where art classes, artists in residence and art shows will promote and support the vast creativity found in the East Bay. Classes in acrylic painting and pastels will also begin at the end of March.

Peterson Studios is located in Old Town Oakley at 3637 Main St. For more information on classes and opportunities to interact with the studio, call 925-625-0514.
