The new Gateway Centers for Learning project invites the public to a kick-off event for its new Antioch Community Center facility at Prewett Family Park, 4703 Lone Tree Way, on Saturday, March 13 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Spearheaded by a local group of residents, business and nonprofit leaders, the project at Prewett encompasses a library annex, technology center and children’s learning zone and will provide the current downtown library with several of the same amenities.

“The Gateway Centers for Learning in Antioch will benefit thousands of kids and their families in our town,” said Gateway Committee Chair Gary Agopian. “This event will be a catalyst for further generous support and our ultimate success.”

According to County Librarian Anne Cain, “These community donations will provide a great opportunity to bring library service to southeast Antioch for the first time, and at the same time strengthen the library service provided at the Antioch Library on 18th Street.”
