The Liberty Union High School District Educational Foundation is holding a Spring Showcase on April 21, featuring a few of the academic programs supported through the Foundation.

The event, which takes place at Heritage High School, 101 American Ave. in Brentwood, begins at 5:30 with a Brentwood Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome the Foundation as one its newest members, followed by a meet-and-greet with LUHSD’s new superintendent, Jerry Glenn. The evening is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

The Spring Showcase provides a platform for recent grant recipients to display how their funded projects have enhanced education in the classrooms. The Foundation has awarded dozens of grants over the years that support teacher projects and academic programs at every LUHSD school.

The Spring Showcase will include a theatrical presentation by Heritage High using technical sound and recording equipment purchased with grant funds to enhance the music and drama departments, and performances by three choral quartets from Liberty High.

The LUSHD Educational Foundation is a nonprofit organization that relies on fundraising and donations to finance grants and annual student scholarships. Donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made out to the Liberty Union High School District Educational Foundation and sent to the Liberty Union High School District, 20 Oak St., Brentwood, CA 94513.
