Spring break in Brentwood provided the opportunity for the music students of Adams Middle School to shine.

The band and choir traveled to Anaheim to perform for park patrons at the Disney Music Days in the Disneyland Park. The tour was planned in the fall of the 2009 by Adams Music Director Lindsay Vietti and a few dedicated parents.

The wind ensemble and choir played and sang splendidly in Carnation Plaza in the heart of Disneyland. Parents, friends and bystanders alike stopped to experience the dynamic performance.

The group was treated to a VIP whirl on the Indiana Jones ride, followed by a fun-filled afternoon at California Adventures. The evening was spent at Disneyland, where the students enjoyed rides and attractions well into the night.

Sunday, a well-deserved free day, culminated in a spectacular fireworks display as Tinkerbell spread pixie dust over the castle from above.

On Monday the students said goodbye to “the happiest place on earth” and headed for home. A stop for lunch at John’s Incredible Pizza in Fresno provided a tasty climax to the trip.
