The staff of the California Energy Commission will hold a public data response and issue resolution workshop on the proposed 624-megawatt Oakley Generating Station. The public and interested parties are invited to attend.
The workshop takes place Friday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at the California Energy Commission, 1516 Ninth St., Fourth Floor, in Sacramento. Those unable to attend are encouraged to participate by telephone at 800-866-5683 (passcode is 9533625).
The workshop will provide an opportunity for a discussion of the responses submitted by the applicant to staff’s data requests. Based on the workshop outcome, Energy Commission staff will publish a Staff Assessment on the planned facility.
The Oakley Generating Station is planned to be located on a 21.95-acre parcel and powered from natural gas in a combined-cycle facility rated at a nominal generating capacity of 624 megawatts.
Throughout the project’s licensing review, the Energy Commission will conduct public workshops and hearings on the proposed plant to determine whether it should be certified for a license and under what set of conditions.
