Approximately 72 motorcycles rode in the recent fifth annual Mikey “Bear Cub” Memorial Ride.

The 96-mile ride began at the Antioch Police Department and wound its way to Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys.

The event, co-sponsored by the Iron Spartans Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and Lenhart Alarm, was held in memory of Antioch police officer Mike Truitt, who died of cancer following his retirement.

Proceeds from the Ride benefit the Mike Truitt Memorial Scholarship fund through Los Medanos College. The funds are available for students pursuing a career in law enforcement.

For more about the Iron Spartans or the scholarship program, call 925-872-6461.
