The Brentwood Arts Commission is accepting applications for the position of Poet Laureate of the City of Brentwood for the term July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2012. Applicants must reside within the Brentwood city limits.

Applicants need to submit a résumé, a statement of interest and three original works. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 13. Applications may be submitted in person or by mail to: City of Brentwood Parks & Recreation Department, 101B Sand Creek Road, Brentwood, CA 94513.

Poet laureate applicants will be invited to read a poem at the Arts Commission meeting held on Wednesday, May 19 at 7 p.m. at the City of Brentwood Council Chambers, 101B Sand Creek Road.
