“Broadway Under The Stars” comes to The Streets of Brentwood this summer in a trio of theater productions performed on a SaddleSpan amphitheater designed to create an intimate theater experience.

The season begins in July with “Guys and Dolls,” one of the greatest musicals of all time. The second show is “Auction Gallery,” which echoes “Night at the Museum,” where famous works of art come to life. “Auction Gallery” will also provide afitting lead-in to Brentwood’s Art, Wine & Jazz Festival.

Closing the first season is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s popular “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” featuring a children’s chorus.

Auditions for these productions will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and 6, at 1 p.m. at Resurrection Ministries, 1275 Fairview Ave. in Brentwood. Bring sheet music in your key, and a fast and slow song – up-tempo and ballad. If you don’t have sheet music, come anyway and you can sing a scale, accompanied by piano. Children’s chorus auditions for “Joseph” will be held at a different time than the adult auditions. Those wishing to sew, build and paint sets, play an instrument, act, sing or dance are also needed.

Those interested in sponsoring or supporting “Broadway Under the Stars” should call Brentwood Arts Society President Jack Gaughan at 925-513 3863 or e-mail slcbk@ail.com. Facebook users are invited to look up the Kinsella Theater Group page.
