Art celebrated

The Arts & Cultural Foundation, once again in partnership with the Antioch Historical Society, will host the free sixth annual Celebration of Art exhibit at the Antioch Historical Society Museum from June 19 to July 10.

Around 60 local artists will participate in the non-juried exhibit. Among them are André Salvador, Ann Muench, Betty Espindola, Big Al Lopez, Charlotte Zamora, Cheryl Breitenbucher, Claudia Harper, Clay Twigg, Clyde Cox, Crystal Sandiforth, Dave Hohler, David Olivier, Dianne Sorvari, Elizabeth Weingart, Fred Hoskins, Frogard Butler, Gloria Cannon, Hal Shillito, Jane Connelley, Janice Lopez-Hrit, Jean Manty, Jeannie Wallen, Jerry Chatham, Jessica Boriack, Jessie Kelly, Jill Ann Cooke, Jo Cotarelo, Joel Summerhill, John Goodner, Josie O’Mally, Juan Carlos Varela, Julia Offord, Karen Lee-Thompson, Kathleen Henderson, Kathleen Jensen, Ken Tomlin, Laurie DiMaggio, Lon Givens, Maria Christensen, Mary Negrete, Mauricio Ramirez, Mayette Ignacio, Michelle Ramirez, Milian Correa, Nordyn Anderson, Patti Geyser, Paul Schorr, Rosalinda Grejsen, Samuel Gill, Sandy Gangwer, Sherry Cummings, Sherry Lynn Morris, Syed Rizvi, Valerie Wolf and Yisehak F-Sellassie.

A free artists’ reception will be held Saturday, June 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Antioch Historical Society Museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. There is no charge for admission. For more information, visit www.art4antioch.org or call 925-325-9897.
