The Brentwood Police Department recently invited representatives from all the senior communities in Brentwood plus those responsible for providing senior services to join a Triad Council. The triad is composed of law enforcement, community groups and senior citizens. Its purpose is to educate and protect the seniors living in Brentwood by creating a shared community response to the growing problem of crime against seniors.

The council has developed a survey to be distributed to Brentwood’s seniors in order to determine what programs are of most interest to them. The surveys will be distributed to homes in the senior communities throughout the city and will be available online at the Brentwood Police Department Web site. The survey may also be obtained at the following locations:

• Senior Center on Balfour Road.

• Village Drive Resource Center on Village Drive.

• Walnut Acres Mobile Home Park.

• Brentwood Police Department.

Surveys will be distributed and available during the first week in July, and may be returned at the above locations (in a drop box marked TRIAD). The Triad Council will also arrange home pick-up. For questions regarding the survey or to arrange for home pick-up, call Lt. Silva at the Brentwood Police Department 925- 809-7712.
