Zachary Henke, an eighth-grade student at Edna Hill School in Brentwood, has been recognized by the United States Achievement Academy (USAA) as a Student of Excellence from his science teacher, Julie Odiase.

We are all so proud of Zachary for being recognized as an All-American Scholar at Large from his school. Students who excel are an asset to their school and communities, and it’s an honor for the USAA to recognize their commitment. My son has been on the Honor Roll and/or Honor Society for the last three years at Edna Hill Middle School. We are so proud that Zachary was chosen to be in the elite 10 percent of students who were recognized.

The United States Achievement Academy was founded in 1978. Its stated mission is to recognize outstanding students in America’s colleges and secondary schools. This nonprofit foundation has as its sole purpose helping worthy students through cash grants that help cover the rising cost of college tuition and expenses.

The Academy reviews the nominees’ grades and selects the top 10 percent of students for inclusion in the annual publication. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be featured in the national publication with other outstanding young people across America.
