Veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom are invited to enjoy a free lunch on Saturday, July 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Bases Loaded, 400 G St. in downtown Antioch.

The event is sponsored by East County Military Families and Friends, Antioch Police Chief Jim Hyde and veteran Matt Allendorph. The purpose is “to connect with peers after deployment and participate in a survey and discussion while enjoying a great lunch with your peers,” according to a press release announcing the event.

All East County veterans are invited to attend, and each may bring a guest. Those planning to attend should RSVP to Josie Monaghan by e-mail at ecmilitary@yahoo.com or by phone at 925-642-7537.
