Congressman Jerry McNerny recently spent time with a team from Edna Hill Middle School – from left, Vice Principal Amy Wallace, Principal Kirsten Jobb, McNerny and Team Leader Polly Gallagher.

The team was in D.C. to receive recognition as a California and National Schools to Watch Model Middle School. Edna Hill was also named one of the Schools to Watch in 2007, reflecting continuous progress toward academic excellence.

Only 242 schools in the nation hold this title; 26 in California. In addition to the photo-op, McNerney shared his views on education and the benefits of professional development for educators.
