Brentwood brothers and Terrapins Swim Team members Brandon and Tyler James swam to fast times at the recent Long Course Junior Olympic Championships held in Moraga.

Heritage High freshmen Brandon qualified for the finals in the 100- and 200-meter backstroke – both in Western Zone Championship record times. The lead swimmer in two relays, Brandon posted two Far Western records in the 50- and 100-meter freestyles.

Bristow Middle School student Tyler made some exceptional swims, including four Far Westerns and four PRT records, augmenting his already impressive six Far Western records: in the 50-, 100-, 200- and 400-meter freestyles; the 100-meter backstroke; 100-meter butterfly; and 200- and 400- individual medleys.

Both Brandon and Tyler will be competing at the Far Western Championships this weekend in Concord.
