Mr. Lloyd Giles, 87, a resident of Millry, Ala. died Monday, July 12 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, Ala. He was born Sunday, March 18, 1923 in Washington County, Ala.

Mr. Giles, a member of Flat Branch Assembly of God Church in Millry, had worked for many years on a walnut ranch in Brentwood and retired after 21 years with Liberty Union High School in Brentwood.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnett and Della Giles; four brothers, Floyd Giles, Joe Giles, Ulmer Giles and Truman Hollinghead; and two sisters, Inez Duke and Kathleen Curry.

Mr. Giles is survived by his wife, Bernice Giles; three sons, Gene Giles (Marvie) of Millry, Ala., Wayne Giles (Diann) of Waynesboro, and Rickey Giles (Hilda) of Millry, Ala.; two daughters, Shirley Kirkland (Curtis) of Millry, Ala., and Sandy Fluty (Phil) of Byron; brother, Robert Giles of Birmingham, Ala.; sister, Viola Holyfield of Millry, Ala.; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro, Mass. is in charge of arrangements.
