While the bus has been traveling all over the country this summer, the trip to Wild Orchids is special because proceeds from the hair cuts performed that day will be donated to the Andrew Bishop Trust Fund to help pay the medical bills of Andrew, 15, who is battling leukemia.
Wild Orchids owner Lori Lopez has put together an entire afternoon of events to help raise money for Andrew, who is the younger brother of one of Wild Orchids’ stylists. Expect an afternoon of live music, dance performances, fashion and wild styles. Here’s the rundown of the Livin’ for the Dream & Rockin’ for a Cure schedule:
Noon Tour bus arrives, featuring a performance by Cali Minx.
1 p.m. DJ Flip.
2 p.m. Bambi Cantrell photography discussion.
2:30 p.m. Wizard of Ahhhs massage therapy demonstration.
3 p.m. Extreme Tumble Little Girl Hip Hop performance.
3:30 p.m. Fitness by Lori presentation.
4 p.m. Car Truck & Motorcycle Show.
4:30 p.m. Musical performance by Becca Kavanaugh.
5 p.m. Extreme Tumble Big Girl Hip Hop performance.
5:30 p.m. Spin Sity performance.
6 p.m. Musical performance by Stigma 13.
6:30 p.m. Dress Your Dog Like a Rockstar Contest, featuring celebrity Chihuahua Lexie-lu.
8 p.m. Tour bus departs.
Andrew plans to make an appearance at the fundraising event at 4:15 p.m. to thank all his new friends and supporters. Andrew’s mother Eli will also be present to raffle Andrew’s 2003 Honda 70 dirt bike, worth an estimated $1,200.
