Firefighters from union Local 1230 stationed themselves at several busy East County intersections asking motorists to “Fill the Boot” with donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The nationwide effort continues all week, and the next opportunity to donate through the ECCFPD comes this Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the corner of Balfour Road and Fairview Avenue in Brentwood.
Just have some cash ready if you’re in the area – the people collecting it are easy to spot.
