Right now President Barack Obama and Speaker Pelosi want to raise taxes by trillions of dollars. Their first target: The historic tax cuts of 2001 and 2003. If the Bush cuts are allowed to expire this is what will occur:

One hundred million Americans would be facing an average tax hike of $1,716.

This would bring back the Death Tax on grieving families, which is supported by President Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and liberals in Congress. According to recent estimates, this would increase taxes by $91 billion dollars.

These proposed tax increases are bad enough … but that’s only the beginning. The Obama administration and Congress also want to impose a massive cap-and-trade energy tax that would raise electricity rates 90 percent, increase gas prices by 58 percent, send residential natural gas prices soaring by 55 percent and raise an average family’s annual energy bill by $1,241.

And on health care: More than two dozen potential tax increases have been proposed or discussed by the liberals in Washington as they desperately seek new ways to bankroll Obamacare. Their ideas? Everything from new taxes on soft drinks, beer and wine to an exorbitant “value-added tax” that would raise prices on practically everything you buy.

Let your elected leaders know where you stand on plans by the liberals in Washington to drastically raise taxes on families, businesses and seniors.

Fight for what is right in America. Make your voices heard. I’m only one of many that are not afraid to voice my opinion on the state of our great nation. Take back our country from big government. Congress and the White House need a reality check.

Lower taxes and leaner government are the right policies for America.
